Movie Review – “ MANTO”
Mumbai:
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's film 'Manto' has been released today.
This movie is based on the life of Sadat Hassan Manto. The director of this
movie is Nandita Das. The film begins with Bombay in 1946 where Urdu poet and
writer Sadaat Hassan as called Manto by Navajuddin Siddiqui lives with his
wife, Safiya (Rasika Duggal) and daughter Nidhi, the idea of Manto is always
the most different , Because of which he gets involved with the producer (Rishi
Kapoor) of his film, and sometimes becomes confused with the film industry
friends.
Not
only this, their views differ from the writer group like Ismat Chughtai by Rajshri
Deshpande, through writings on Ismat and Manto, there is a case of spreading
obscenity in Lahore, at that time there is a division between India and
Pakistan. Because of Manto, who loves to Bombay, has to go Pakistan by
splitting his friend and superstar Shyam (Tahir Raj Bhasin). Pakistan, Manto to
bear a case for the cold talk written by him and eventually there are some
twists in the story which you will have to watch the movie to know.
Story
of movie and the manner of showing all are very interesting, in the 40s,
Nandita Das has shown the tools and costumes used in that time, along with the
small things. Nandita shown her four hours of Manto's life in this nearly
2-hour film, in which Manto's thinking and lifestyle can be seen brilliantly.
People
who know about Manto, they will love this film, although for those who do not
know about them, this film has also been served as a perfect biopic, where
nothing has been presented in excess. . Nawazuddin Siddiqui has played the
character of Manto very well in terms of acting and seeing them, what is the
mantra mood of the end?
Rasika
Duggal did great job as the wife - Manto, besides Tahir Raj Bhasin has made an
intuitive performance. In the film, the stories of Manto shown through
characters, including actors like Divya Dutta, Ranvir Shori, Rishi Kapoor,
Javed Akhtar, Neeraj Kabi. The background score is excellent and the people who
like the compositions of Sadat Ali Manto, or who want to know about their life,
